Who controls your data
stms is the controller for the personal data described here — the identity behind that word is on the about page and at the foot of this document. Write to support with any question or request.
What we process, and why
Orders — your email, what you bought, and the serial issued, so a purchase can be supported and re-sent. Paddle processes the payment itself as merchant of record; stms only holds what is needed to fulfil the licence.
Licence sessions — an account id, a salted machine fingerprint, and a timestamp, so the plugin can check your licence. Never your projects, never your audio, never usage data. The fingerprint is a hash; the raw hardware id never leaves your computer.
Newsletter — your email address, kept once you confirm it with a double opt-in, so release notes can be sent to people who asked for them.
Stems tool audio — the audio you submit to separate stems is sent to Replicate, a processor based in the United States, to run the model. That is an international transfer of personal data outside the EEA/UK; the safeguard relied on for it is to be confirmed.
How long we keep it
Order and licence records are kept for as long as your entitlement exists and afterward for as long as accounting and support obligations require. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Stems audio is processed to produce your result and not kept beyond that — the exact deletion window on the processor side is to be confirmed.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, or delete what we hold about you. Deleting your account (account settings, or a request to support) erases your personal data; a record that a serial was issued may remain for accounting, without the personal details attached. If you are in the EU or UK you can also complain to your local supervisory authority.
Email and unsubscribing
Every release-notes email carries a one-click unsubscribe link. Using it removes your address from the list immediately — no account, no login, no confirmation step.
