One person, a few plugins

I make electronic music, and I build the tools I wished existed while making it. stms is where those tools live.

CHORAL started because every vocoder I tried made me do the boring part first. Route a synth in, match the levels, fight the sidechain, and only then find out whether the idea was any good. I wanted to play a chord and hear the voice sing it, immediately, the way you audition anything else — by playing it. So the synth is inside, the MIDI drives it, and the setup is gone.

The company is one person. That is not a story about being scrappy; it is the reason the plugins are few and the reason each one is finished before the next begins. I would rather ship one instrument I use every day than five I tolerate.
